Erica spent the first 7 years of her professional career serving oil and gas executive officers in a broad administrative capacity and assisting in several mergers and acquisitions. Thereafter she left the oil industry to complete an International Relations degree with a focus on military history and political science.
While studying, she took the position of Business Analyst with Bengal Energy Ltd. and learned the art of international land bid processes, land acquisition, corporate responsibility and government liaising. Erica’s efforts facilitated the company’s success in acquiring one million acres of producible land in Australia and growing Bengal’s daily production.
More recently, Erica has had the privilege of paying Employment Insurance on behalf of the Government of Canada to western Canadians, particularly Albertans, at a time when unemployment was at record numbers. Her success in this role led to her promotion as an Integrity Services Investigator where she applied her federal training on government regulations and passion for people to the Temporary Foreign Worker Program – a program that ensures foreign workers receive proper housing, rest, safety and payment for their work while in Canada.
At this time Erica is completing a Turbine Appraisal Apprenticeship with Altitude Aircraft and is the Quality Control Auditor for AvWorks Aerospace Inc.
