The Appraisal Process

Do I need a Certified Appraisal?

Honestly, probably not if you fit into any of the following groups:

  1. I own my recreational / private aircraft and I want to know how much its worth.

  2. I am buying a recreational / private aircraft and want to know if the ad is overpriced. (You need a market evaluation - these should be free, if someone is charging you for a market eval, contact me to do one for free)

  3. I am selling my recreational / private aircraft and want to make sure Ive priced it properly. (this is an aircraft analysis and is not as in depth as a Certified Appraisal)

If you fall into the following groups, its on the fence whether you need a certified appraisal or a regular appraisal.

  1. I am selling my commercial piston aircraft and want to make sure the aircraft is priced properly.

  2. I am buying an aircraft for my commercial operation and need to make sure the aircraft is priced fairly.

If you fall into this last group, call to talk about Certified Appraisals

  1. My bank or financier wants a certified appraisal

  2. My company owns an aircraft or fleet that require yearly asset review.

  3. Our company has been doing our own appraisals on our own fleet for years and its time for an outside opinion.

  4. Im buying a turbine aircraft

  5. Im buying an aircraft for my commercial operation and it has more than one engine

  6. Im insuring my turbine aircraft and the insurance company requires a Certified Appraisal

  7. Im buying an airplane and spending over $500,000.00 dollars.

  8. My business partners and I cant agree on the value of our aircraft.

  9. I have high and exacting standards for my assets and dont need to waste time with anything other than a Certified Appraisal.
